I started my fitness journey when I was 40 years old. That was 18 years ago and I am in better shape and better health now than I was then. As a kid growing up in Texas, I was slender, some might even say “skinny”, and have been very athletic for most of my adult life. Fast forward years later with marriage, work demands and raising a family, I fell into some terrible eating habits and never went to the gym or ran any distance at all outside of sandlot sports. But when I reached 40 yrs old, a mandatory physical made me realize I needed to change my habits if I was going to make it to retirement age. So I joined a local gym and started on my fitness journey. I researched how to gain weight and muscle, and what foods and supplements needed to maintain my new hobby. It worked for me because after 12 weeks I had gained 25 pounds of lean muscle and my waist had not increased! Needless to say, I was hooked!
After a short while, other people started to notice my results and wanted to workout with me. At first it was just people in my inner circle, then my new found passion spread, I really enjoyed helping people reach their goals and make a commitment to a new lifestyle. Then it happened, I was introduced to the Unstoppable Fitness Formula that Fit Body Boot Camps offers. So in June of 2013, I founded Rowlett Fit Body Boot Camp. Over the years I’ve gained experience helping clients of all ages and fitness levels. I have found that the Fit Body Boot Camp exercise program along with a healthy diet will work for just about anyone looking to get in the best shape of their life. Since our workouts are only 30 to 45 minutes it leaves more time to enjoy life with That’s the way I like it, and I’m sure you will too. Life experiences and research gave me the wisdom to help others with their fitness goals; but my drive, passion and commitment comes from working every day to help others gain a new lifestyle and self worth! When I was growing up I always envisioned being in shape when I got older, but did not know what it would take to get there. After college I decided it was time to make a commitment and quickly developed a passion for health and fitness. Starting off I made all of the typical rookie mistakes; lifting too much weight, “pushing through” injuries, not warming up properly and not having a solid nutrition program. Thankfully, as I got a bit older and educated myself, I began to experiment with different types of fitness programs, and found what worked best for me.
Following a specific workout plan with a specific goal and pairing that with a proper nutrition was the turning point for me. I found that following this model allowed me to make more progress in a few weeks than I had in the previous few years, now I was officially hooked. I started to flirt with the idea of pursuing my passion for fitness and becoming a personal trainer with the goal of helping others reach their goals. I figured since a “regular” guy like me was able to see results anyone else could do it as well.
The real turning point for me was in 2014 when my brother passed away. It was then that I truly realized the importance of following my passion and decided to make the most of my life and see what personal training had to offer. Once I attained my personal training certification I began to research the type of training that I wanted to deliver. I looked into typical personal training at gyms, group classes, in home personal training etc. Nothing really seemed to fit what I was looking for until I attended my first class at Fit Body Bootcamp. I knew immediately that the programming at Fit Body was the format that I wanted to use to help everyday people reach their fitness goals. The fun and exciting environment, and not to mention the incredible results, enticed me. I jumped right in and have not looked back since.
I am very proud to say that I am the owner of a fitness business and feel incredibly lucky to be able to help others. I am passionate about our programming and hope that you see that passion in our classes. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar, trying new hobbies, and spending time with my wife Katie and our dog, Apollo.
My desire to be in the health and fitness industry began over 20 years ago when I lost my father at an early age. He suffered his first heart attack at age 41. His second heart attack at age 51 took his life. I was convinced that a poor diet and lack of exercise was to blame. I made a promise to myself and my family that I would be there for them by taking care of myself both on the outside as well as the inside. Fast forward to 3 years ago when I decided that I wanted to help others to do the same by living longer, healthier lives by becoming a fitness trainer. I have been with FitBody Bootcamp for a few years and enjoy every minute of every day that I can help others reach their desired goals. Outside of leading classes I enjoy competing in races of half marathon and shorter distances as well as Mud Runs and obstacle races. I also enjoy spending time with my wife of 15
years and our three children

I’m a native Californian in my early 20s. I picked up exercise in college to burn off my “freshman fifteen” but quickly realized that the effects of working out on your body are great but the impact it has on your mind is even better. I found that exercise keeps me clear, present and in the moment. I started feeling less stressed and more energetic, eating and sleeping better, and became much happier all around. I love what I do because it gives me an opportunity to let other people experience a feeling of accomplishment, relieve stress, and learn perseverance.
